Individual chapters, which Daedalians refer to as Flights, encourage the pursuit of a military aviation career through individual scholarships and charitable events within their local communities.
As part of your Daedalian membership, you are welcome to join one of our Flights in your location or join our virtual flight, The Hangar.
The Hangar is our virtual presence that allows you to come together for fellowship and networking with current and former military-rated officers and aviation enthusiasts. We provide professionally relevant programming, networking and engagement opportunities.
Daedalians who cannot connect at a local level with the organization have an opportunity to participate in our online community and exclusive virtual events. When you’re in The Hangar, you are surrounded by fellow Daedalians who share a passion for aviation while remaining connected to the organization.
“I joined the Daedalians after a friend brought me to a meeting as his guest. I joined for the camaraderie with an incredible group of aviators, and to support the good work the Daedalians perform to promote military aviation, especially with young people. As the Frank P Lahm Flight 9 Adjutant, I have become deeply involved in most of our activities, including Daedalian Flying Training, JROTC awards, scholarships and maintaining our databases and our Flight 9 website. My work with the Daedalians has been extremely rewarding and working with young cadets has given me a good feeling for the future of military aviation.
