Our January Speaker Series features Capt. Carter Tisdale, USAF. Capt. Tisdale recently served as a flight surgeon with the rescue community while stationed at Nellis AFB. He will be sharing some flying stories from his time with rescue, information about the role of flight surgeons in squadrons, and lessons learned on keeping aviators mentally fit to fight and fly.

In partnership with the WarDocs podcast, Daedalian Lt.Gen. PK Carlton, Jr., USAF (Ret.) discussed the development of critical care capabilities in the air and his role in air evac innovations over his 30+ year career for our October Speaker Series event.

Lt.Gen. PK Carlton, Jr., USAF (Ret.), is an Honorary Member of the Order of Daedalians and former Air Force Surgeon General.

The WarDocs podcast, hosted by three Army doctors, dives into the unique opportunities in military medicine and preserves its oral history.

In partnership with the AMEDD Museum Foundation, Executive Director George Wunderlich discusses how modern air evacuation reflects Army of the Potomac Surgeon Jonathan Letterman’s battlefield medicine innovations.

Executive Director George Wunderlich has many years of experience as a public historian and was awarded the Order of Military Medical Merit for his service to military medicine.

Telling the history of Army medicine, the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Museum has supported the Army’s medical schools since 1920, providing educational programming in support of AMEDD personnel.
